As a business owner with a busy schedule, I’m always on the lookout for tools that can make my job easier. With the explosion of AI, there are a wealth of tools available that can help us organize our time more effectively. In this post, I’ll be sharing my thoughts on a new scheduling software called Reclaim.

Reclaim is an AI tool that creates a schedule for you based on tasks and habits that you assign. While I do like the software, there are a few issues that I came across. For example, if you work through the night like I do, you can’t assign your work block past midnight, which forces you to split up your work tasks and habits into two blocks. This reduces the effectiveness of the software for me. Additionally, it’s not clear how to put in a last-minute task and have it reschedule upcoming tasks, as the software appears to lock tasks once it’s within a two or three-hour zone. I reached out to Reclaim’s support team to get some clarity, but I haven’t received a response in over 24 hours.

The integration with Google Calendar also feels a little clunky to me and not as responsive as it should be. However, once you learn the software, which doesn’t have too much of a learning curve, I do appreciate its simplicity, habit-building features, and rules for scheduling. I also like the share link, which functions much like Calendarly, only showing your availability to clients by rules you define.

In addition to the task management features of Reclaim, I found their habit building feature to be a standout component of the app. It functions similarly to tasks, but with the added benefit of being recurring, making it an ideal tool for creating positive habits. What I really appreciate about the habit building feature is the ability to easily prioritize which habits are most important, making it easier to focus on building the habits that matter most to you.

One of Reclaim’s strongest selling points is its pricing. The Pro plan costs only $7.80 per month, while the Teams plan costs $11.40 per user per month. This is a fraction of the cost of some other scheduling tools, such as Motion, which costs close to $35 per month for a month-to-month plan. However, I’m curious to see if the additional cost of Motion will be worth it if it can address the issues I’ve experienced with Reclaim. I plan to give Motion’s free trial a spin and write a comparison of the two tools for those looking for the best scheduling solution.

They also have a Free account, but it only allows for 3 habits, where as the other two plans are unlimited, plus you’ll only have limited time blocking functionality and no ability for sharing your calendar with your clients to book meetings.

On a positive note, I reached out to Reclaim’s support team about the issue of scheduling a work block across midnight, and they confirmed that it’s a known problem and is on their roadmap for a future fix. This reassured me that the team behind Reclaim is actively working to improve the tool and make it even more user-friendly.

In conclusion, while Reclaim isn’t perfect, it’s definitely a useful tool for scheduling and managing your tasks. It’s also attractively priced, making it an excellent option for freelancers and small businesses. With the team behind Reclaim actively working on improvements, I believe it has the potential to become one of the top scheduling tools on the market.
